A Pep Talk with a Purpose
Have you ever wondered, “What are some of the unmet needs in Tallmadge and how can we organize to help meet those needs?

Tallmadge Lutheran Church sponsored a half-day conference to explore this question and seek answers on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Goals of this event were to celebrate God at work through a diversity of believers in Tallmadge, evaluate ministry opportunities presented by individuals in service to the community, and collaborate on a plan to fulfill unmet needs of the undeserved population. The program included a keynote speech by Nozomi Ikuta (Denison Avenue United Church of Christ). We also had a discussion about meeting the needs of our Tallmadge community with a panel of community leaders, facilitated by Bryson Davis (Akron Leadership Foundation). A discussion was had following the panel to brainstorm on how we may be able to put these into action as servants of Christ the best way possible.

You can listen to our panel discussion in two parts below. Thanks to those who attended, and to our coordinator Jan Tiedemann!
